ReplyDeleteI got a really neat hinged jewelry display that folds up to travel. It's about 2' x 3' when it's opened up with hooks for necklaces and bracelets and ledges for hanging earring cards. $5!
I am familiar with it since it runs through a portion of my state (Georgia), but I've never been. I see it mentioned from time to time on local public television, or other weirdness that ends up on my TV. I think it sounds like massive fun, but I suspect finding the "the thing" might be like looking for a needle in a haystack.
ReplyDeleteI've definitely never picked up a yard sale find like some that I see on Antiques Roadshow or Pickers. Best was probably a pair of wood barrel chairs in great condition for $1. Fabric was a hideous 70s orange, but they were very comfortable and I was later able to afford to reupholster them. Lots of happy hineys enjoyed the chairs for only a buck!
