Answer to the challenge - Necklace of re purposed beads, vintage lucite and feldspar

Yesterday I posted about the items I challenged myself to work with. Last nite I set out on the task of creating something from those beads. I pushed the beads around on my table for quite a while trying to find something that held my interest. I was having a hard time incorporating all the pieces I had challenged myself to use. I decided to work from the focal up.

I wrapped the focal in copper and added garnets and toho beads and made dangles from the fire polished mix. I used the copper wire to make wire wrapped links for the first strand of felspar and MOP beads, and then wove hemp cord thru the links and made a second layer of hemp and vintage lucite beads.

It made a real summery, hippie exquisite necklace

These were the beads I used -
I have a MOP necklace and a garnet bracelet that was given to me to 're purpose' by my friends Harry and Vanessa
