I made some bails for Davinia of BackPocket Designs and in return she sent me the awesome polymer pieces!!! I can't wait to work with them.

I love the 'abstract' designs on these pieces. Is like each one can tell its own story.

Anyone a fan of Anne McCaffery "Dragon Riders" series? The bottom large round one reminds me of a landscape or the horizon in one of her tales.

Back Pocket Designs - Pendants

I have this wonderful friend - who is an AMAZING artist - Davinia of Back Pocket Designs. I am a complete and absolute junkie for her work. Not only can you buy her beautiful creations, but she is now sharing her polymer pendants on her store as well!!!!

Look what I bought!!!! She posted the blue flower pendants and the large spotted one on her blog and I just had to have them. I can't wait to work with them. Then just to sweeten the pot - she added a couple more as a big surprise!


While I am on her shop - I can't help myself - I have to buy this necklace I have been ooogling over for ever! Seriously - can you blame me???



Being the dear she is, she snuck in this wildly adorable pin - Mort is so cute :) He has found a home amongst the pins and buttons on my jean jacket :)

What a Surprise!! - Deez News

What a surprise when I went to the mailbox and found a package addressed to me. What a thrill it was when I saw who it was from!!!

Davinia from over at Deez News!!!! She had slipped a package in the mail with a few goodies for me for my birthday. I was in tears.

I am a huge fan of her work, no wait... I think it goes beyond fan and over into hero worship. The way she thinks and combines and creates and.... you get it don't you?!!

In this package was a necklace that I ADORE!! I hot listed it on ArtFire.com and also put it on my Amazon wish list. Did you know you could do that on ArtFire? Yes you can!! What are you waiting for??!?!?

Am just a bit manic right now and all over the place, please forgive me - but the excitement has got me!!!!

This necklace makes me swoon! Two beautiful pendants, two matching pendants - mebbe earrings and that LOVELY shawl brooch. OMG! I have the perfect hand crocheted poncho to wear it on. These are so fun, because I will make something for ME with these!!! What a treat!

I love her work and what she does with polymer clay! I am always hinting she needs to sell them as well on ArtFire as accessories. I would be a customer!

My new necklace from Back Pocket Designs

I am a huge fan of Back Pocket Designs, and have been since I wandered in on Davinia's blog, Deez News.

I am crazy about several of her pieces and completely in love with her designs. She goes places with her jewelry that I can only dream about.

I couldn't help myself when she posted this piece:



I had to have it. I popped her a note saying - 'you need to put that up on your ArtFire shop so I can buy it!' And she did. Prior to this little beauty stealing my heart, I had this one pegged -

So you can imagine my excitement when the package finally came!!!! I squealed at the mail box and ripped it open right there. Jumping up and down on the side of the road like a goof.




Inside she had also added her business card and attached......


An awesome pair of earrings. She threw those in as a gift. Aren't they wonderful!!!



Here is the thing kids - your business card and a pair of earrings is some of the most effective marketing/advertising you can do! I don't go anywhere without my little packets made up. You never know when you will met someone who will want your card and you will see how thrilled they are to get a tiny pair of earrings with it. (some people have even tried to pay me for the earrings!)

And here I am - all gussied up in my NEW BACK POCKET DESIGN NECKLACE!!!!!!


I will wear it everyday!!!!!!

With A Little Help From My Friends

I have been blogging here a little over a year now. Over that year I have met some wonderful people. It all started with a comment here or there, leading to an email and in some cases - texting!!!

I have met people from all over the world, with different skill sets, ideals, and points of view. Regardless of these things, we all have one thing in common, a love of what we do and we love to share it with others! These people go well beyond the term 'blogger' with me. I feel I have made some new friends, friends I will keep up with for a long time.

Each one offers a great source of inspiration to me, and their support is unmatched. They jump right in and give a hand or a suggestion - Trust me, that is a blessing in itself!

Dawno's Beaded Badge Lanyards and Jewelry - Dawn was one of the first people to visit my blog and we soon became fast friends. I run into her everywhere online. It is like being invited to a party and wondering if you will know anyone there, and when you walk in the door, Dawn is there and you are comfortable! She is a great source of inspiration to me. I love her work and the way she presents it. We are total opposites in our styles which is prolly why I adore hers so much.

A Bead A Day - Lisa is who I want to be when I grow up. She thinks outside the box and takes me there with her. She is willing to share her knowledge and expertice and is fast with support and advice. A true mentor and friend.

Ahtee's Blog - Rose puts a smile on my face. She is whimsical, beautiful, smart, talented - the sky is the limit with this one. Her creativity is inspiring and her up beat attitude is catchy. I love how she takes you everywhere with her. Her blog is not just about being creative - it is also about being Rose. Rose is on a button kick right now, and I am loving it!!

ammjewelry - Millie is a scream. I love how excited she is about everything!!! She can work magic with re purposed jewelry that puts paid designers to shame. She isn't afraid to try anything new and takes you on that 'adventure' with her.

Be~Jeweled by jana - Jana is a kindred spirit with me. She is rip roaring and ready to go. She does beautiful wire crocheted jewelry. Each a piece of art work.

Deez News - I got some serious hero worship going on here with Davinia. I LOVE her creativity and her funky style. She is another blogger that welcomes you into her life as well as her workspace. She is easy to get to know, and you are a better person for it!

Pearl and Pebble - There isn't anything she cant' do - I am sure of it. Beading, sewing, painting, photography - i can't say she is a crafty diva - because when you see her work you will see she is an artist. She opens up her creativity to you and shares her life with you as well. She will have your mind working and your sides splitting. Good times!

If I could have one wish - it would be to have a huge round table with all of these women around it for an afternoon. Hell, it would probably drift well on into the wee hours of the morning :)
