Pendants again

I can't stop with the pendants. I do love them so.

I made these yesterday in between calls at work

Pretty pink resin rectangle with copper swirls and a vintage rose button.

Marble cab decorated with seed beads and smoky quartz.

There is so much freedom with wire wrapping. I swear at times the wire moves itself!

Enuff with the copper already!!!!

I am hooked on copper, orange and blue right now - I can't get enuff!! Most of my designs seem to be taking that turn as well :)

I did these this morning before work. The glass is side drilled and they are a good size. I bought them because of the color and then became intimidated by their size. I ran across them while rummaging thru my pack and thought it was time to try and work them into a design.

One of the ways I get the free form ideas (altho i guess they wouldn't be free form at that point) is I lay the bead on a piece of paper and doodle around it. It allows me to find a 'flow' around the bead, and it also helps to give me a visual - or a reference while I am working.

I love this one - that blue is so bright - it looks like it is lit up! Is like a little blue lantern

All shades of blue!!!! Funky, chic, clunky design. I may have to keep this one.....

You know me and random :)

Have a great weekend kids - am gonna be a the market all weekend wish me luck!!!

Azalea Crazy with Art Beads!

My yard is loaded with Azalea's right now. I love being outside in the morning with my coffee looking at them. Three colors, white, light pink and dark pink, paint my yard. No more winters blahs here!

I wanted to make something fun, something different with the Glass Bead selection I got in my summertime package from Art Beads. Using the azalea's as my inspiration this morning I made this.

Azalea Crazy

I made three rings using 47-402-SP - Copper 14g Round Wire, 20' (Solid Copper) from Rings & Things. Hammered the rings to give them some character, and wire wrapped them closed with 47-406-SP - Copper 22g Round Wire, 125' (Solid Copper).

Once I had made my links, I used the 22 ga copper wire and made wire wrap links with the FP-AMYLT6 - Czech Fire Polished Bead - Light Amethyst - 6mm *. I used these to hold the links together. Then I did a sloppy ( I like to call it artistic ) wrap of copper on the CR-SP064 - Czech Glass Yellow Tiger's Eye Large Spade * and secured them to the links. Next I made dangles with CR-FL197 - Czech Glass Lily Flower White Luster * and CR-RL099 - Opaque Green w/ Half Picasso Roundelle * and added them. This is a fun and colorful pendant ready to be worn for all of your summer time fun!!

This was an idea of building a puzzle pendant. Several pieces wire wrapped together to make a pendant. I used 16 ga sterling for the frame of the pendant and 22 ga sterling wire to wrap the pieces together and to wrap the amethyst glass onto the frame. I know the direction I want to go in now, so I can't wait to make another one ;)

See more fun with ArtBeads tomorrow!!

Thanks everyone for playing. It was so much fun. I will do something again next month - stay tuned!!!!

I can't stop! I am so hooked!!

I wanted a real different design that would allow the black stripe in the green garnet to be showcased. I wanted it to keep the eye busy, but keep you coming back to that stripe. It is like a road map or a ride at an amusement park, I can't decide.

Materials used:
14 ga copper wire
Green garnet bead
Rhodinite
Dyed quartz
Rose quartz
Turquoise
Czech glass
