Rings & Things Blogger Challenge - Tim Holtz Idea-ology series

When I saw the Tim Holtz collection in this months Rings & Things blogger challenge, I will admit, for a nano second, I cocked my head and thought to myself, but isn't this for scrap booking?!?

*blink* *blink*

Then the neon sign that flashes OPEN came on over my head.

This was so much fun! I had the idea in my head and was spurred along by the 80's music channel, bouncing in my chair to Adam Ant, I came up with this pin!

Thursday quickie

I think everything should be beaded. Everything should be personalized with some sort of bead or bauble.

Most times, as most of you know, I use natural stones due to the properties of 'sed stone'.

That in mind - I have made key chains and I love them. These key chains are nothing new, I have made them before, but for some reason I didn't continue with the line. I have added a few more to my collection.

Larvakite

Jade

Jasper

The 'Key' to that extra bead

Oh how I love the extra large beads. Creating a piece with all large beads however beautiful it may be, is not always practical. It can be heavy, uncomfortable, bulky, may not lay correctly - these are from my experiences.

Still I buy the strands of the large beads and incorporate them into my designs as focals and accents. After the designs are done, I may have one or two left over - what do I do with them? - put them in my random pile and wait for inspiration.

Here is some fun I have had with my 'stray' beads.
