All of my jewelry creations are based on the metaphysical properties of the stones or the colors that are incorporated. Jewelry should be a window to our soul, a protector of our emotions and a companion to our spirit. All of my other creations come directly from my heart in hopes they touch yours as well. Celebrate yourself with healing jewelry, and other gift ideas made with love!

Revisitng Old Designs - Finding New Meaning

Strolling down memory lane thru the photo albums on my Facebook page, I found a bunch of old earring designs that were simple statements, and really nice. I had moved away from that style and many others in my quest for the perfect design, and find it funny that when I revisit them, I am amazed at what I had done in my infant stages of creativity and really wonder why I left it.

So I decided to use my own designs as inspiration and made a few new pairs.

These are just simple copper loops, hammered at the bottom of the loop to create stability and offer texture.

Then add one bead as an accent. Maybe add spacers or crystals to help it talk a bit louder.

Yes I said talk, that is what my jewelry does, it talks. It speaks to the soul thru the energies of the stones.

My jewelry speaks of love and hope, kindness and peace. All things that are needed in our day to day lives, but may get lost due to job or life stress. My jewelry is a little reminder that it is ok, there is hope, someone does love you and it is possible to find peace.

Carnelian and Rhyolite

I have a selection of jewelry that I call K.I.S.S. - we all know what it stands for :) As much as I love the random, the over the top and the whimsy, there are times where just simple is best. Letting the elements compliment each other simply. That is what I did with this necklace.

I found the carnelian chips at Artbeads.com I love their deep and warm color. It is one of my favorite stones. Who am I kidding, they are all my favorites :)

Looking at the strand, I knew I didn't want to break up the chips and use them as accents. I really wanted them to be the bulk of the design. And when it did come together, it was wonderful!

Small carnelian chips with copper beads and a rhyolite focal.
Carnelian - Creativity, Individuality, Courage
 Rhyolite - Perseverance, Communication

I love how the carnelian accents the ochre colored deposits in the focal stone. Perfect!

It is warm and inviting, making you approachable. It is delicious in every aspect of the word.

ArtFire Wed. Collection - Nothing but the best for my baby

Gift ideas for him!

Looking for some inspiration

Everyone knows the months have a birthstone. Did you also know there are flowers tied to the months as well? December's birth flower is the Narcissus.

The Narcissus is the flower of respect, modesty and faithfulness.

The Narcissus family of flowers are one of my favorites. They are crazy hardy here in North Carolina and have every year since I moved here, bloomed in mid January and stayed till mid March. They thrill me with their vivid colors in the middle of the winter dreary.

I love it that it is chosen for the December flower. Something bright and springy in the middle of the cold winter, other than it may be difficult to give a bouquet of these lovelies during December. So with that in mind, I have found some lovely gift ideas that are inspired by the Narcissus!!

From Leafingearth at Artfire. Sweet little earrings of stacked lucite flower beads create a narcissus flower. Just darling!

From mcstoneworks studio at Artfire. Jade and pearl necklace with a daffodil focal. Warms up the coldest winter nights!!

From Whitecockade46 at ArtFire. Sunny jonquil swarovski crystals make you think of spring!

From JuniperGems at ArtFire. (my personal favorite) beautiful glass flower beads, sterling and jonquil swarovski crystals. This is a burst of spring flowers on your arm. This would lighten any mood!

So many ideas out there for that someone special in your life. Just go to your favorite online artists showcase and type in 'jonquil' 'daffodil' or 'narcissus' and see all the choices that come up!!
Happy shopping!

Where the beads are!

It is already June 9th, where did the time go!!

Fathers day is coming and I know a lot of people are looking for that last minute gift. Why not make him a necklace? Fun styles guys may wear are easy peasy - like a pendant on leather, or a simple wrapped pendant. Try something fun with chips, or smaller stones.

Sedona stones has some great donuts for a quick simple style.

I am the coolest kid on the block!

I am stoopid with excitement! I got my package from Dawno last nite.

I ordered the greatest bracelet EVER from her.

I read about it and the new teck-neek she found on her blog.

Her work is fantasic, and I am a huge fan.

She has her pieces up on ArtFire and Etsy. Stop by and see them. You know you want to be as cool as me!
