Memory Wire - which do you use for bracelets? My mom loves memory wire bracelets, and I wanted to make her a couple.
I have used Bead-a-lon, and I am not a fan of it. It pulls out of shape way too easily, and cannot hold much weight.
I bought a generic brand at Wal-Mart several years ago - just on a whim, it was cheap and I thought why not. I loved it, and I haven't been able to find it since.
What would you recommend?

Con-nun-drum - Selling on ArtFire
I am asking for advice -
Selling on ArtFire -
I am torn.
In there past there has been a lot of quabbling over selling hand made - selling supplies - and selling commercial items 'as handmade' on ArtFire. (the latter is just plain hair-ass-ee)
I try to buy supplies from Art Fire - supporting the local small business person when I can. I have supplies to sell as well. After reading a lot of the back and forth on the community board about 'artists' vs. 'suppliers' I pulled mine down.
I pulled them thinking, I don't need to be selling supplies with my art. Let my art be distinct and the showcase of that account - I need to have a separate account for the supplies.
Now I have all of these supplies (inherited them when I bought a healing crystal/tumbled stone bizness) and where am I going to sell them?
What would you do?
Would you go ahead and add them to your ArtFire page and sell them along with your art?
Would you create a separate account to sell supplies on?

Do you need to dress like an 'artist' to be taken as an artist?
I read up on, review other booths, research who sells well, and try to model my booth after that. There is a lot to it, the placement of items, the colors, the decorations and so forth that set up a feel for a booth and brings customers in. I try to stay ahead of the curve with my booth display to the best of my means, considering I am at an outside market.
I am getting more comfortable with my booth, now what about me. Is it just as important that I am dressed the part? And what is the part anyway? I love tie dye, and wear it often. Am I portraying the right image as an artist? Should I be more conservative and wear a button down and pants? I don't want to sell my soul to sell my pieces, but at the same time there is a lot to the selling formula.
If I look like a business person, will I look like I am selling product that I bought from a wholesaler? Here is the reason I ask this - I have tried different outfits just to see customer responses. When I dress more conservatively, I get asked quite often "Did you make this?" "Do you sell for other people?"
If I look like an eccentric artist will I be taken as one? It isn't that I sell more if I dress 'artsy' but I don't hear those questions. I hear more comments - "I love your designs" "These are so unique" and so forth.
These are just questions I roll around in my head - Do you have suggestions? Do you have questions you wonder about in this craft business world?

Are business cards important to your business?
Do you think they are needed?
Do you think they honestly make an impression or are they a waste of space?
I recently got mine at Overnight Prints and am very happy with them. I just found out about Visaprint - they have 42 styles to choose from for free (pay for shipping) and the styles are awesome, and the quality is really nice.
I have business cards
They are simple and to the point
I never leave home without them.
They are more important than just to pass on information about my business.
They are scratch paper
They can be folded and used to steady a table
They can be used as a substitute for dental floss
They can be used to smash spiders on your dash to save your life
The corners can be used to clean under your finger nails
They can be used as book marks
They can be used to scrape the frost off of your windshield...
The list goes on,
So to answer my questions, yes my business cards are very important to me.
